Welcome to Life Skills Hub In-School Behavior Shadow Program, where our dedicated behavior shadows provide invaluable one-to-one support under the guidance of experienced Behavior Therapists and Clinical Psychologists.
Our Behavior Shadows undergo a rigorous 12-course training, covering crucial topics such as the functions of behavior, prompting, implementing behavior support plans, and effective data collection. With a background in teaching children, they bring expertise to their roles.
A monthly formal school team meeting serves as a collaborative platform for the Behavior Shadow, LSH supervisor, classroom teacher, school support staff, school administration, and the child’s parent. This meeting focuses on interventions, data review, and agreement on target behaviors for the upcoming month.
Prior to their engagement, a Behavior Shadow undergoes observation by a Behavior Therapist or Clinical Psychologist in the child’s classroom. Using these insights and details from the child’s IEP, a Behavior Support Plan is crafted, reviewed, and executed by the Behavior Shadow.
Weekly internal “hub huddles” at Life Skills Hub provide continuous professional development for Behavior Shadows. Led by Behavior Therapists or Clinical Psychologists, these meetings include an hour of training followed by collaborative discussions to enhance interventions based on each client’s data.
