Mika Permenter is a native of the islands of Hawaii, USA. She is mother to four busy children, and the wife of a passionate educator. Mika received her Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Psychology in 2011, and went on to complete coursework for her Master’s degree in Education. Her career spans from preschool to high school, with a strong focus on children with special needs, showcasing expertise in child and youth psychology.
In 2020, Mika’s family came to Qatar in the midst of the pandemic, and soon thereafter she began her work within the special needs community. In April 2022, Mika partnered with Nicole, Hasna, and Nihal to begin a Life Skills HUB for children and young adults to learn social and vocational skills. Mika is enthusiastic about contributing to the growing inclusion movement in Qatar, emphasizing her commitment to supporting all children, regardless of developmental differences.
